Today I made blueberry scones with a lemon glaze and I am left wondering why i never made them before. They are a lot different from store bought scones that are often dry and crumbly, these are soft in the middle with a firm outer shell. The original recipe (here) used an orange glaze which I would have done if I had any oranges but since I didnt have any and the combination of blueberry and lemon is so classic, I decided that I would modify the recipe to what I had on hand. These turned out so good, I would even consider using this as the base recipe for other scones I make in the future. Enjoy! XOXO
